The most magical place on earth at its second home in Paris! When Cal visited Europe at 11 with his family, they went to Disneyland Paris and it’s basically the only part of the entire trip that he remembers, and quite fondly. From the time we started planning our trip to Paris months ago, he insisted that we visit Disneyland for a day of Disney fun, and how could I resist the opportunity to act like a child for the day? Not that I need an excuse, but at least it’s a bit more socially acceptable when you’re on Space Mountain. (This is doubly exciting because the last (and only other) time I was in Disneyland in Anaheim was when I was 10 and I was fully obsessed with Space Mountain.)
All the details: Disneyland Paris
Cost: Tickets are heavily discounted if you buy online at least one day before your visit and also if you visit on a weekday, so we planned accordingly and got two tickets at 47€ each from the Disneyland Paris website.
Getting there: It’s super easy to get to Disneyland Paris on the RER A train, disembarking at Marne-la-Valleé-Chessy. The park is only a few short metres from the metro station.
Top tips: Even though the website explicitly says a million times that the tickets MUST be printed and we were worried about not being let in, we just flashed the PDF on our phone to the counter and were inside without any wait at all.
A truly great way to spend a rainy day in Paris, if you ask me. Magical, as only Disney can be!
