  • It’s 12:01 in Uganda, so let me be the first to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my climbing partner, my dive buddy, my daily travel companion, my creative collaborator, my human-pillow on long-haul flights, my favourite person in the world, and most recently: my fiancé 🥹 James is one of those rare people who is not just liked, but universally loved by everyone with even remotely good taste. Life is simply better with him in it. Despite being a self-proclaimed introvert, he has an incredible ability to connect & empathise with people, and is the most genuine, compassionate person I’ve ever met. He’s also a stone-cold weirdo— and it’s high on my extremely long list of favourite things about him (yes, this is his current favourite song). For all our similarities (a shared passion for travel, the outdoors, photography, shower beers, ridiculous tv comedies, shisha cafes, stray cats, fried chicken, Harry Potter audiobooks, kick lines…), James also balances me out perfectly. He’s as practical as I am chaotic, calm as I am fiery, easy-going as I am bossy, sophisticated as I am dirtbag-y, understanding as I am impatient, and in so many ways, he makes me better just by being around him. We’ve always said the only thing we need to have a good time is each other, and that’s proven true again & again as we travelled through 17 countries this year and wished for a 25th hour in the day— just to have a little more time together. So happy birthday, my love, and cheers to many, many more spent in far corners of the world making our own fun🍷😘
  • I’ve always felt like a drifter. Only at home on the road, forever wandering from place to place, restless in any one spot too long. And in a society where “settling down” is the ultimate goal, I’ve been seen as unsuccessful, stunted, sad— for not accomplishing something I never believed in anyway. But for the last year, we’ve been TWO drifters, off to see the world ✨ And the faint suspicion long held— that the right person would never expect me to sit still & “settle down” & give up my dreams— was finally confirmed. The right person is going to drift with me. James is going to drift with me. Wherever I’m going, he’s going the same. And for the first time in my life, I want to go his way, too. Because we’re chasing after all the same things. We’ve made a home together on the road, a house out of 2 suitcases & a few packing cubes & a lot of camera gear. In every moment in whichever city in whatever far-flung country, we’re there, just holding hands & waiting to experience something magical together. And it feels more like home than any place I’ve ever been. Cheers to the beginning of a long life on the road doing the last thing people expect from us, forever home in each other, always holding tight to the belief that this life can be whatever we want it to be. There’s such a crazy world to see & I can’t wait to see it with you 💍✨

  • A love letter to 2024 🤍 After so many hard situations over the past few years, ones that made me feel uncertain about my future & incredibly distant from the person I wanted to be, I came into 2024 finally feeling like myself again— or maybe more like myself than I ever have. Fire tore through my life at the end of last year like a controlled burn, a scorched-earth effort to start again, and then I got to spend 365 days watching life grow back more vibrant & beautiful than I even imagined it could be. What followed was an incredible season of growth & new beginnings & finally-realised potential. Of better balance & aligned priorities & strong intentions. Of incredible adventures & staggeringly beautiful moments & soaring highs that, for once, didn’t come accompanied by sinking lows. Beyond grateful for the places that took my breath away, the experiences that reduced me to joyful tears, but most importantly, to the people who make this life so much deeper than shiny photos & lonely layovers.   • a few favourite trips from 2024 + the moments that I’ll always remember… 1. solo climbing Aconcagua— I summited on the 8th morning & could’ve been back to town as early as the 9th, but instead I willingly went 13 days without a shower because I was having so much fun at basecamp, mooching all the free leftovers that the guided groups were too nauseous to eat (& that @thelakehost kept insisting I take 🍕) 2. island-hopping in the Philippines— innocently enough, @slatojc I & figured out that if we said it was our honeymoon, we’d be given free wine at all our hotels… so we spent several weeks sleeping in rose-petal-covered beds + even accepting a few congratualtions cakes 🎂 3. hiking the Jordan Trail to Petra— research for our own adventure group trip to Jordan in Sept 2025…the official announcement is coming SOON!! 🤩 4. gals trip to Japan— the most hysterical, sake-filled, weird-in-public sorta trip with @monique_cgarcia that I don’t know how we’ll ever top 🍱 5. camping on Socotra— we spent 8 days driving around Yemen’s wildest island, and on one of the days, a local woman invited us into her home & painted my face in Dragon’s Blood Tree resin, a symbol of beauty on the island reserved only for women 🩸 6. road-tripping Rwanda— everytime we’d pull over onto the side of the road to take photos, a group of 10-20 locals would quickly accumulate & just STARE until I waved, at which point they’d all break out into wide smiles & wave back 👋🏼 7. Nile cruise in Egypt— a trip that we had to reschedule when I broke my foot in 2022 & again when @johnnythebravo broke his leg in 2023… but we FINALLY made it to Egypt this autumn 🩼 8. sponsored trip to Vietnam— @slatojc & I got flown business class to create content in Hanoi, a real milestone for us ✈️ 9. 30th birthday in Mexico City— dancing into the next decade on the canals of Xochimilco with some of my favourite people @kimbussing @blakemania @marissa.g.bee @slatojc 10. climbing Mt Assiniboine— we spent 10 days climbing in this woefully underrated provincial park, but the absolute highlight was summitting the “Matterhorn of Canada” (in a LOT of snow) with @amber_e003
  • Come with us on an overnight camel diving safari in Egypt 🐪🪸🤿 The Red Sea is home to some of the most spectacular diving on the planet— and the most unique way to experience it is on a camel dive safari with @desertdiversdahab Loading up camels with tanks & dive gear, journey up the wild Sinai coast for nearly 2hrs to Ras Abu Galum, a remote marine reserve protecting some of the Red Sea’s most vibrant coral & abundant sealife, all accessible from relaxed shore diving. The adventure in Ras Abu Galum includes 3 dives on the first day, typically separated by lunch at a sandy Bedouin camp & a relaxed outing to the nearby Blue Lagoon, and a 4th & final dive the following morning. Overnight in a simple wooden bungalow built directly onto the beach, lulled to sleep by the sound of gentle waves, and wake up to a spectacular sunrise ☀️ One of our very favourite experiences from 2 months in Egypt!! . . . . . #dahab #dahabegypt #redsea #redseadiving #scuba #cameldive #camelriding #egypt #exploreegypt #experienceegypt #discoveregypt

I’ve always felt like a drifter. Only at home on the road, forever wandering from place to place, restless in any one spot too long. And in a society where “settling down” is the ultimate goal, I’ve been seen as unsuccessful, stunted, sad— for not accomplishing something I never believed in anyway. But for the last year, we’ve been TWO drifters, off to see the world ✨ And the faint suspicion long held— that the right person would never expect me to sit still & “settle down” & give up my dreams— was finally confirmed. The right person is going to drift with me. James is going to drift with me. Wherever I’m going, he’s going the same. And for the first time in my life, I want to go his way, too. Because we’re chasing after all the same things. We’ve made a home together on the road, a house out of 2 suitcases & a few packing cubes & a lot of camera gear. In every moment in whichever city in whatever far-flung country, we’re there, just holding hands & waiting to experience something magical together.
